Skateboarding in the Philippines

Introduced in the 1970s, skateboarding has grown into a thriving subculture. While urban centers feature skateparks and competitions, rural areas often lack safe spaces, making ministry-driven skateparks a lifeline for youth.

SkateMin Asia has made its home at one of the top skateparks in Tagaytay, Philippines, in partnership with local churches. Pastor Joel and his team developed a deep heart for the local skate community, connecting with over 80 skaters in their very first outreach.

• Feeding programs serving 50+ meals a week

• Outreach events drawing 80+ local skaters

• Partnerships with churches to provide transportation and mentorship

Impact Highlight

In Tagaytay, our skatepark ministry has become a safe haven for skaters, with many hearing the Gospel for the first time while learning to skate. Girls’ participation is growing, showing that skateboarding ministry empowers youth of all backgrounds.
